The A3 District Vision

Our vision is to provide a safe, positive and inspiring environment where dancers can come together to share and motivate. We believe in providing quality training and mentorship that takes our students to the next level. At A3 District, we take great pride in our instructors, who bring vast knowledge and experience to each of their classes. Having our instructors currently active in the dance community, keeps classes relevant while still providing foundational training & mentorship.

A3 District is currently offering competitive & non-competitive street dance classes along with drop-in classes.

Business History

A3 District was created by Jane Marlinga and Roberta Bierman in the summer of 2013. Spending their entire lives highly involved in numerous dance studios has always inspired a dream to create their own. The motivation behind pursuing this vision was drawn by the limitations they faced in other facilities. Weather, time restrictions, financial issues, studio size, amenities, location and even conflicts of interest all factor into their need to build an environment which eliminates these hurdles. Jane andRoberta were feeling stagnant in their lives. As artists they felt the need to satisfy their desire by challenging their creative boundaries. Pulling inspiration from recent collaborations, they wanted to explore the idea of unifying the artistic community of Vancouver. With a lack of resources for these interactions to form, they saw an opportunity to fill this void.
